What does The Itinerary Architect do?
We design bespoke romantic and culinary travel itineraries delivered as beautifully formatted PDF guides. You complete a detailed intake form about your tastes, travel style, and emotional vision for the trip. We curate the journey — hotels with the best room numbers, restaurants worth planning your day around, experiences paced for connection rather than exhaustion. You handle all bookings directly using the insider intelligence we provide.
How is this different from a travel agent?
Traditional travel agents focus on booking logistics and commissionable inventory. We work upstream of all of that.
We design what you should experience and why — the restaurant that requires a relationship rather than a reservation, the hotel room with vineyard views rather than simple proximity, the pacing that transforms a good trip into an unforgettable one.
You execute the reservations using the intelligence we provide. That independence — from commission pressure, from inventory relationships — is the point.
How is this different from other AI travel planning tools?
Most AI travel tools generate itineraries by pattern-matching across generic public data with no editorial architecture behind them. The Itinerary Architect works differently.
Our system is built on a proprietary research database, destination-specific enrichment, and an editorial framework developed from genuine culinary and travel expertise. What makes your intake form different?
Most travel forms focus on logistics — dates, budget, destination. Ours goes deeper, because the best trips aren't just well-planned. They're well-felt.
We ask questions like:

- "If this trip were a film, what is the genre and vibe?"
- "What do you want this trip to do for your relationship?"
- "Name 1–2 trips, restaurants, or hotels you loved — and what made them special"

The intake takes 10–15 minutes to complete thoughtfully. That investment — combined with our research across 100–250 hotels and 125–300 restaurants per destination — is what allows us to create itineraries that feel both deeply personal and impeccably curated. Your responses are used solely to design your itinerary and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
What destinations do you cover?
We design itineraries for romance-forward, culinary-driven destinations worldwide. Our system is built on extensive destination intelligence across Europe, Asia, and the Americas — the more established the culinary and boutique hotel culture of a destination, the deeper the curation we can deliver.
How much research goes into each itinerary?
Every itinerary represents 100–250 hotels researched, 125–300 restaurants evaluated, and 50–150 experiences considered. From that depth, we select the 2–8 hotels, 7–30 restaurants, and 3–10 experiences that best fit your vision, travel style, and seasonal timing.
This is editorial curation, not algorithmic aggregation. Every recommendation earns its place through insider relationships, emotional pacing, and intelligence unavailable to standard travel planning.

Toast ($99) is ideal if you want expert hotel curation and destination intelligence while keeping your days flexible and unstructured.
Savor ($199) is designed for couples who care deeply about food — where meals are experiences, not interruptions — paired with hotel curation and local intelligence.
Indulge ($349) is for couples who want the entire journey designed with emotional intention: day-by-day pacing, curated experiences, and narrative flow from arrival to departure.

How It Works
How long does it take to receive my itinerary?
Standard itineraries are delivered within 24 hours of purchase. If you select Priority processing — available as an optional add-on for $49 — your itinerary arrives within 8 hours.
Delivery timelines begin at the time of completed payment, provided all required intake information has been submitted. Timelines are estimates; delays do not entitle the purchaser to a refund.
What format do I receive?
A beautifully designed PDF optimized for mobile use during your trip and easy printing if preferred. It's structured to feel like a personal travel magazine — clear, elegant, and intuitive to navigate — with clickable links to every recommendation.
Do you book anything for me?
No — and that's intentional. When we book on your behalf, we earn a commission. That commission creates a conflict of interest between what pays us and what's actually best for your trip. We'd rather not have that conflict.
We give you the intelligence: which hotel, which room category, which restaurant, how far in advance to reserve, what to ask for when you call. You book directly — earning your own loyalty points and maintaining full flexibility. All reservations, payments, and travel arrangements are made directly between you and the relevant providers.
How do I use the itinerary once I receive it?
Your PDF is designed for both mobile use during your trip and easy printing if you prefer a physical copy.
Booking strategy: Start with reservations requiring the most advance notice — usually restaurants, then hotels, then experiences. We include timing guidance and booking notes throughout.
On the ground: Your itinerary includes clickable links and insider notes so you can navigate confidently — whether you're confirming a reservation or finding exactly what we recommend.
Do you include transportation or logistics?
We provide guidance on getting between experiences when it affects pacing or timing — 'book a driver for this afternoon' or 'this is a 15-minute walk, leave by 7:15.' Where it matters, we also recommend which airport or rail hub serves your itinerary best — the right entry point changes everything about how a trip begins."
Detailed transportation planning (car rentals, train tickets, flights) is your responsibility. For Indulge itineraries, we specifically flag when transportation affects experience quality — like sunset timing or vineyard access that requires a car.
Before You Book
Can I request changes after receiving my itinerary?
No. Each itinerary is delivered as a complete, editorially curated guide built entirely around your intake responses. We don't offer revisions or modifications.
This is by design. The intake form is built to surface what truly matters — so the itinerary reflects your vision the first time. If something feels missing, it's usually because a detail wasn't captured in the intake. The more thoroughly you complete it, the more precisely the itinerary reflects you.
What if restaurants or hotels are fully booked?
Availability can't be guaranteed — many of the most distinctive properties and restaurants book months in advance. This is precisely why we include booking strategies and alternatives throughout the itinerary.
Your role is to book early. Our role is to give you the intelligence to do so confidently — so that even a second choice feels intentional, not compromised.
What if my travel dates change?
If your dates shift but the destination and season remain the same, your itinerary will still work seamlessly.
If your trip moves into a different season, some recommendations may no longer apply. You may contact us to discuss options depending on the change.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
Dietary needs and allergies are addressed directly in the intake form and inform every dining recommendation. For food-focused experiences, we prioritize restaurants that treat dietary accommodations as part of their craft — not an afterthought.
What if I want to extend my trip or add destinations?
Each itinerary is designed as a complete experience for the destination(s) and duration specified in your intake. If you'd like to add destinations or extend your trip, you'll need to purchase an additional itinerary. We're happy to coordinate timing if you're planning back-to-back journeys.
Practical Details
Do you earn commissions on recommendations?
For some hotels and experiences, yes — we include affiliate links to partners such as Booking.com and Viator. These partnerships help sustain the service and keep pricing accessible, at no additional cost to you.
Our editorial process works in one direction: we identify the best recommendation first, then check whether an affiliate relationship exists. If the best option has no affiliate link, we include it anyway. If an affiliate option doesn't meet our standards, we don't include it.
Is there a phone number I can call?
No. Support is handled exclusively via email at hello@the-itinerary-architect.com. This allows us to maintain fast turnaround times and the pricing that makes great travel intelligence accessible.
How is my data used?
Your information is used to design, generate, and deliver your custom itinerary, and where appropriate, to share curated travel inspiration or service updates you've shown interest in. We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

Do you offer refunds?
Every itinerary is custom-built from the moment you submit your intake — researched, curated, and designed specifically around your vision. Because planning begins immediately and automatically upon purchase, all fees are non-refundable once payment is processed.
The best way to ensure the itinerary reflects your vision is to complete the intake form thoroughly. The more detail you provide, the more precisely we can design for you.
Can I gift an itinerary?
Yes. Any experience may be purchased as a gift. Delivery timing begins once the recipient completes the intake form — so the itinerary is built around their vision, not guesswork.
What if I have questions during my trip?
Our itineraries are designed to be self-sufficient — every recommendation comes with the context, links, and insider notes you need to navigate confidently on the ground. We don't offer live concierge or in-trip support. Any on-the-ground issues are handled directly with the relevant vendors.
